Welcome!  Here are some highlights regarding the competition:

Bockfest is a celebration of Bock beer. Accordingly, only Bock styles are accepted. This does include Specialty Bock beers, as long as the base beer is clearly of the Bock family.

Competition / Event Entry Fees, Etc.

The entry fee is $8. Two bottles are required per entry. Three bottles are required for Dunkles (Traditional) bocks.

Special Information for Dunkles (Traditional) Bock Entries:

Dunkles (Traditional) bocks will also be judged in a separate, non-BJCP session. The judging panel will consist of professional brewers and selected experts representing the Christian Moerlein Brewing Company and Bockfest organizers. Judging will be done in a Best of Show format. The winning beer will be chosen to be commercially brewed by Christian Moerlein as the 2017 Schoenling Bock.
